Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease)

Corona Virus (covid-19) affect every individual in different ways because of the differences exist within individuals as per their lifestyle, food habits, work style, surroundings, so on. Likewise every human body is different such as their immunity system, hormone balances, etc. Most of the individuals show mild symptoms or no symptoms at all, also recover without hospitalization at home. So far the world is suffering in a way that we witnesses numerous deaths on the daily basis. It’s not just deaths, the individuals who are recovering also showing some tremendous changes in themselves which will be with them for their entire lives now. While going through the texts about this virus in detail and observations, I come to make an understanding that it’s not a virus whose symptoms we can catch by saying these are the only symptoms because it affect differently to different bodies. Although there is symptoms which are given by World Health Organization (WHO) -:

1.) Most common symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Tiredness
  • Dry cough

2.) Less common symptoms:

  • Aches and Pains
  • Sore throat
  • Diarrhoea
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Headache
  • Loss of taste and smell
  • Rashes on skin
  • Discolouration of fingers and toes

3.) Serious symptoms:

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Loss of speech or movement

On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show, however it can take up to 14 days.

Prevention can save lives.

It’s almost 18 months now, we are fighting with this virus. When it first came to our knowledge there was no vaccination existence for this but now our scientists successfully made some vaccines and those vaccines are in market now. Many people got their vaccination done as well. It is very clear that there is no medicine which can work on this virus inside the body. We can survive this virus only if our immunity is strong. Immune system responses are different from one person to another and that is why the virus infection is different from one person to another. The variants of this virus are also a effect of these differences, when our body removes the virus, there is a chance that some changes can take place within the virus genome. From everything I have read, listened and discussed I come to an understanding that only “Precautions can prevent us from this virus for now.”

Now to understand what type of precautions we should take, it’s important to know how it travels from one patient to a healthy person. A person infected with coronavirus, even one with no symptoms-may emit aerosols when they talk or breathe. Aerosols are infectious viral particles that can float or drift around in the air for up to three hours. Another person can breathe in these aerosols and become infected with the coronavirus. This is why everyone should wear a mask when they go out. Also from the infectious surfaces it can affect as if you touch the surface from your hand and then touches your face without washing the hand. So, mainly through these precautions we can avoid to get infection of this virus -:

  • Don’t touch your face (mouth, ear, nose, eyes) without washing your hands with soap or hand wash.
  • Don’t go out without face mask.
  • Keep yourself distant from everyone.
  • Try to stay at home as much as possible.
  • If you go out use alcohol based hand rub (sanitizer) often.
  • Keep yourself positive and stable.

Before we sick physically, we become sick mentally. So it’s really important to stay stable mentally in the time of this crisis. By staying calm we together can fight this virus. Try to read positive news about this virus as how many are recovering on daily basis. No doubt it is a time where we all are feeling the failure but it’s important to support each other and make a positive surrounding. We will fight back with precautions and we will prevent this deadly virus. Just be informative, try to make a positive impact. People are dying, the world is suffering. Even a single step of individuals can make a difference. Keep going, don’t be afraid. We will win. We will win.

I am attaching some useful links about this virus, I hope it helps- stay safe stay home. Take care.
